How can my major make the world a better place

The first year of college I asked myself those questions a lot and the answers frustrated me very much, I have even decided to change my career. I wanted something that would affect the world and people's lives more directly. However, I am still here and now I am a little bit calmer. Because I believe that what is done or not done to change the world depends more on ourselfs than on our college degrees or professional specialty. In any case, I think that anthropology is a good way to make the world a better place, it is a career that is dedicated to studying social and cultural processes to understand their causes and consequences linked to the experience of the people themselves and their communities. Their lives, their perceptions, their opinion, their interpretations, etc. I think that such a genuine concern for people's lives is a contribution to thinking about new worlds and building them.
