A photograph and its story

Photography is one my life´s passions.I agree with the teacher concerning photographs and their ability to freeze time and preserve it for the future. Furthermore I believe that it not only freezes time but also emotions and sensations that one experiences and wants to share when taking a photograph.
This photograph shot by Sergio Larraín is one of my favorites. It shows three children that live in the streets of Santiago. We can see only parts of their arms, pants and bare feet. The photograph is part of the Abandoned Children collection, that includes pictures taken between 1955 and 1963. I am deeply moved by the manner that this photographer plays with light and composition while at the same time giving us a portrait of daily life, tenderness, inequality and injustice.
